Jerry Lee Taylor, Jr., 53, of Lufkin, was born February 20, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Jerry L. Taylor and Inge L. Taylor, and died Sunday, August 21, 2022, in Lufkin.
Mr. Taylor was a kind-hearted, soft-spoken man. He dreamed of being a truck driver since he was only 3 years old. He achieved that dream, and loved his job as a truck driver for many years. Traveling from state to state, he never met a stranger. Mr. Taylor served as a volunteer firefighter with the Ora V.F.D. He loved fishing, hunting and his fur-babies.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Taylor of Lufkin; daughter, Kayla Ellis of Parkersburg, WV; son, Manuel Ellis of Parkersburg, WV; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Johnny Cook of Parkersburg, WV; mother, Inge L. Taylor of Anacoco, LA; brother, Hans Taylor (Butch) of Anacoco, LA; granddaughter, Addison Sins of Parkersburg, WV; grandson, Bryson Cook of Parkersburg, WV; granddaughter, Aurora Ellis of Parkersburg, WV; and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, George Taylor; and grandparents, George and Grace Taylor.
