He was predeceased by: his mother Della May (Huffman); his wife Colleen Wilson (Stroud); his grandson John William Ball; and his siblings, Cliff Wilson, Jack Wilson and Wilma Young (Wilson).

He is survived by: his daughter Beverly; his son-in-law Judge Billy Ball; his grandson Donald Miller Ball; and his great grandchild Kori Taylor Ball.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lufkin Detachment #1362 Marine Corps League, P.O. Box 152626, Lufkin, Texas 75915.
