He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Jean and Sidney Lewis; and his brothers, Jerell Lewis and Michael. He is survived by: his son Vernard Lewis of Dallas; his brothers, George Lewis and Odis Lewis; his stepbrothers, David Guidry and Roy Guidry; his sisters, Cathy Menifee and Pamela Girdy; his stepsister Joyce Guidry; and his aunts, Patricia Brooks (Roy) and Connie Fransaw. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
