In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary Ellen is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mary Ellen's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. W. L. O'Quinn and Alma Louise "Teenie" O'Quinn (Wright); her husband Dr. Whitman "Pete" Rowland; her siblings, Ann O'Quinn Bynum and Dr. William D. O'Quinn; her sister-in-law Flora Thames O'Quinn; her nephew Bill Tullett; and her niece Lisa Tullett.
She is survived by: her nieces, Ellen O'Quinn Sorrell (Ryan) and Nancy O'Quinn Thomas.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Memories Memorial Park (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Congregational Church, 105 Saddle Creek Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904 or the Winnie Berry Humane Society, 1102 N. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
