She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Taylor (Looney) and Alfred M. Taylor. She is survived by: her husband John Lee Slaughter of Lufkin; her son Robert Lee; her daughter-in-law Ashley Slaughter of Lufkin; Sydney, Dr. Clay Smithhart of Houston, Jordan and Riley Ellington of Whitehouse.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carroway Funeral Home (2704 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904).
