He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ray Garcia and Carmen Aline Garcia (Norton); his daughter Joy Fountain; his father-in-law Wylie Willis; his siblings-in-law, Tony Willis and Darlene Galindo; and his son-in-law Tony Byington.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Garcia of Lufkin; his children, Tonya Byington of Upperville, VA and Michael; his daughter-in-law Timfany Garcia of Huntington; his children, Tommy Joe (Carla Fountain), Ronnie Lynn Fountain of Lufkin, Matt Lawrence of Lufkin and Becky Lawrence (Bryan Moore); his siblings, Darlene Perez of Lufkin, Glenn Garcia of Spring, TX and Jennifer Garcia of Lufkin; and his mother-in-law Delma Willis of Lufkin. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shafer Funeral Home (600 N John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, TX 75904-0353). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Foundry Assembly of God Church (1405 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901).
