He is survived by: his wife Marianna Garrett of Lufkin; his children, Stephanie (James Cooper) of Galveston, TX and Brian (Alexandria Garrett) of Washington, D. C.; his granddaughter Chelan (Nate Hale) of Denton, TX; his brother Fred (Sandy Garrett) of Puyallup, WA; his sibling's children, Tiffany Lindsay, John Maggard and Vicky Garrett; and his sister-in-law Kathryn (Whitney Bowles).
