He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Courts and Leona Smith Courts; his wife Shirley Reynolds Courts; his siblings, Tracy Courts, Clinton Courts, L. C. Courts (Pat), Barney Courts, Carl Courts, Talvin Courts and Florene Maddox; and his grandson Ricky Vasquez.
He is survived by: his children, James Courts, Josh Courts (Lori), Jeff Courts (Krista), Kimberlee Ferriera and Vicki Drumm; and his siblings, Calvin Courts, Malvin Courts of San Antonio, TX and Marion Blackmon.
