It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Lee Bates of Lumberton, Texas, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband William "Bill" Bates; and her children, Billie Jo Reedy, Wendell Bates, William Bates, Jr. and Wade Bates.

She is survived by : her daughter Becky Roubieu; and her grandchildren, Robert Bates, Schree Marshall, Otis Roubieu, Jr., Vickie Roubieu, Jessica Potter, Chelsea Lusk, Brandon Kyle Bates, Shawna Brown, Shannon Stillwell and Wade Bates, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
