It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ita Louise Cornwell of Lumberton, Texas, born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Sarah Laura Stansbury (Robert Stansbury) and Joseph Madison Burrous; her husband Grover G. Cornwell III; her stepson James Cornwell; and her grandsons, Justin Tanner and Christopher Dylan Bynum.

She is survived by : her children, Robert Bynum of Lumberton, Brenda Legendre (Dane) of Lumberton and Todd Bynum (Carolyn) of Friendswood; her stepchildren, Robert Cornwell, Mark Cornwell, Paul Cornwell, Maxi Cornwell, Grover Cornwell IV and Sybille Voyles; her grandson Garrett Bynum; her stepchildren, Will Tanner (Bethany), Holley Leon (Dale), Courtney Hillin (Brandon) and Ashley Kelly (Quincy); her great grandchild Moriah; her grandchildren, Josiah, Elijah, Hunter, Holdyn, Harrison, Parker, Rylan, Miyah, Mayson, Honey, Quincy, Jr. and Brooklynn; and her nephew Kenneth Stansbury (Andi).
