He was predeceased by : his parents, Elbert Oscar and Lillie Irene Richards (Horton); his children, Derral Richards, Jr. and Sherry Lynn Richards; and his brothers, George, C. H. and Thurman Ray Richards.
He is survived by : his wife Brenda Richards of North Zulch; his daughters, Cheryl Henderson (Richard) of North Zulch and Laura Richards of North Zulch; his children-in-law, Dehbrenda Preuss of The Woodlands and Craig Preuss; and his grandchildren, Robert, Heather, Elizabeth, Lindsay, Alyssa, Jace, Lily, Kaitlyn, Trevor and Misty. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and numerous other extended family.
