He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Byrd; his children, Richard Byrd, Jr. (Sheila) and Diane Byrd; his grandchildren, Lance Byrd (Twanna), Byron Byrd, Ebony Byrd, Amber Byrd and Destini Byrd; his great grandchildren, Kameryn Byrd, Kalynce Byrd, Kynslie Byrd and Kylie Byrd; his niece Frieda Hornsby; his nephew Mario Hornsby (Anika); his great-nephew Trenton Johnson; and also Teaghan Johnson. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
