She was predeceased by: her parents, Bevy Bridwell (Beulah) and Dollie Mae Hughes (Lewis); and her siblings, Hazel Williams and Benny Bridwell. She is survived by: her husband Lanny Canon; her daughters, Teresa Canon, Nancy Canon Darden and Kathy Canon Bitter (Larry); her brothers, Lloyd Hughes (Sharon) and Bill Paul (Linda); her sister-in-law Rose Canon; her grandchildren, Frank Darden IV (Devon) and Meagan Hearen; and her great grandchildren, Shelby Hearen, Quinn Darden, Millard Darden, Charlotte Canon, Landrie Darden and Ramsay Darden.
