She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald O. Teeter and Marlea R. Teeter (Heizer); her brother Dean; and her son Matthew Michael Powell. She is survived by: her husband Howell G. Martin, Jr.; her son Tobias Martin Powell (Julie) of Magnolia, Texas; her siblings, Lawrence Wayne Teeter (Peggy) of Mesa Az and Lynne Marie Burgeson (Karl) of Parker Co; her daughter-in-law Penny Powell of Magnolia; her grandchildren, Zackery, Ethan, Jacob, Joseph and Jessica Powell; and her sister-in-law Linda Elaine Amerson (Patrick) of Palm Coast, Florida. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in her name be made to the charity of your choice as Valerie gave to charities throughout her life.
