It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ken Scott Smelser in Mansfield, Texas, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Perry Hombach and Anna Louise Coates; and his adoptive father Elvin (Evelyn Smelser). He is survived by: his wife Jo D. Smelser; his children, Kelly Smelser, Kena Bendtson and Teresa De Filippis; his grandchildren, Levi, Christina, Mariah, Cierra, Stetson and Tony; and his siblings, Bobbie, Sharon and Curtis.
