He was predeceased by: his father Leon Russell; and his grandparents, Cloide, Mildred Morrison, Bill and Charlotte Russell.

He is survived by: his mother Carol Russell of Lake Limestone; his daughter Leilani Russell; his sister Susan Puett (Kent) of College Station; his sibling's children, Shannen Harrivel (Kyle) and Andrew Puett; and his great-nephew Gavin Harrivel.
