He was predeceased by : his parents, Edmund Gerik and Tracy Gerik (Hlavaty); his wife Leona Dvorak; his son Eugene J. Gerik, Jr.; and his siblings, Wilma Kizer, Raymond Gerik and Edwin Gerik.
He is survived by : his children, Patricia Reesing (Robert) of Mart, Bernice Gerik of Mart, Janet Hykel (Eddie) of West and James Gerik (Lanette) of Mart; his daughter-in-law Jilji Gerik of Mart; his grandchildren, Rhonda Fitch (Mike), Jennifer Reesing, Mark Gerik (Brittni), Phillip Gerik (Shelly), Teresa Gerik, Thomas Gerik, Vicky Gerik, Chris Hykel (Sammy Jo), Ashley Mynarcik (Chad), Justin Gerik (Leigh Ann), Jason Gerik (Liz), Bryan Gerik and Brooke Gerik; and his great grandchildren, Kyle, Caiden, Hayleigh, Keston, Lynlee, Aaron, Wyatt, Paisley, RaeLynn, Dylan, Luke, Dannie, Trevor, Nash, Avery, Carson and Elena. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery in Elk, Community Hospice or charity of choice.
