He was predeceased by : his parents, Toribio Velasquez and Lungina Velasquez; and his children, David Velasquez of Ruben Velasquez and Irma Rodriguez. He is survived by : his spouse Juana Velasquez; and his children, Joe Velasquez Jr., Toby Velasquez, Raul Velasquez, Enrique Velasquez Sr., Martin Velasquez and Maria Sanchez. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren.
