It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Victoria Montez-Nelms of Mason, Texas, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Eleno Castillo and Rita Castillo; her daughter Sondra Montez; and her siblings, Valentina Dominguez and Victor Castillo.

She is survived by : her husband Arturo Nelms of Mason; her son Gerardo Marquez (Debbie) of Rockwall, TX; and her sisters, Olga Mesa (Mason) and Juanita Zavala (Fredericksburg). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that we respect Vickie's wishes and donate to the Mason County Cancer Society.
