He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Stinson and Ollie Duncan Stinson; his wife Gertie Lee Stinson; and his children, Renee Stewart, Cindy Serrano and Sandy Stinson.
He is survived by: his sons, Johnny Stinson (Jeanne) and James Stinson (Reba); and his sisters, Berthia Burges and Delma Goodwin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
