He was predeceased by: his parents, Worth Gauntt and Mildred Gauntt; his sister Peggy Sue McCarty; and his son James Randal Gauntt (Randy). He is survived by: his wife Carol Hawkins Gauntt of Maud, Texas; his daughter Cindy; his son-in-law Mark Wheat of Maud, Texas; his son Rodney; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Gauntt of Maud, Texas; his grandchildren, Shawna Gauntt-Hicks (Jessie) of Texarkana, Texas, Hollyn Woodfork (Cameron) of Spokane, Washington, Krystle Sivley (Guy) of Arden, Arkansas, Kimberly Wheat of Maud, Texas and Michael Gauntt of Portland, Oregon; his great grandchildren, Kaitlin Sivley of Arden, Arkansas, Scotlyn Woodfork of Spokane, Washington, Londyn Woodfork of Spokane, Washington, Natalie Sivley of Arden, Arkansas, Mason Ueckert of Arden, Arkansas, Bradley Gauntt of Portland, Oregon and Bentley Hicks of Texarkana, Texas; his sisters, Margaret Crabtree of Texarkana, Arkansas, Sarah Walters of Diana, Texas and Betty Stevens of Daingerfield, Texas; and his niece Rose Annette Gauntt of Texarkana, Texas.
