She was predeceased by : her father Juan Medina; her husband Eliseo Vela; and her mother Eugenia Carreno (Carreno). She is survived by : her children, Evaristo Vela, Eliseo Vela Jr. (Yvette), Maria E Vela, Elias Vela (Sandra) and Belinda Vela; and her siblings, Irene Medina, Maria Luisa Gonzalez, Gloria Alvear, Mario Medina and Reynaldo Medina. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
