He is survived by: his wife Francisca L. Alaniz; his children, Roy L. C. Rodriguez-Alaniz of Phoenix, Arizona, Jesus Alaniz Jr. (Maria T.) of Mercedes, TX, Sonia Contreras (Robby) of Mercedes, TX, Charito Alaniz of Mercedes, TX, Sandra Martinez (Fidencio) of Mercedes, TX and Nancy Huerta (Mike) of Weslaco, TX; and his brother Martin Alaniz (Juanita) of Mercedes, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
