She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Lee and Myrtle Lee Toal. She is survived by: her brother Joe; her children, Virginia Oakes of Harlingen and Virgil Sharp, Jr. of Bulverde, TX; her grandchildren, John English of San Antonio, TX, Michelle Atkinson of Brenham, TX and Michael Sharp of New Braunfels, TX; her great grandchildren, Dustin Atkinson of New Braunfels, TX, Derick Atkinson of Canyon Lake, TX, Jenna English of San Antonio, Carter English of San Antonio and Addison English of San Antonio; her great great grandchild Cora Grace Atkinson of Seguin, TX; and her friends, Minnie Toal Goettel, Daurice L. Russell and Ann Carter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“I was sad to see that Nellie had passed away.. I did her hair so many years that I can't even remember how many years it was and she was my most memorable "character" of all my clients. I loved Nellie. Many Saturday mornings, before her hair appointment, we would meet for breakfast. I also did sister Minnie's hair... My condolences to the family,, Rest in peace Nellie and Minnie.
