He was predeceased by: his parents, John Royal and Ruth Royal; his sister Gracie Emmons; his wife Peg Royal; and his sons-in-law, Tony Hervey and Carl Whitaker.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Hervey Whitaker of Mesquite and Bo; his daughter-in-law Kari Royal of Kaufman; and his grandsons, Clay (Annie Hervey), Harrison, Dylan, Carson of Rockwall, Taylor (Jenny Royal), Creed, Eastan of Euless, Cole (Melissa Hervey), Hayden, Ryder of Rockwall, Travis (Laura Cottle Royal), Joshua Cottle, Emerson and Brayden Royal of Crandall.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Laurel Oaks Funeral Home (12649 Lake June Rd, Mesquite, TX 75180).
