She was predeceased by: her husband Ramon Rivas; her daughter Mary Helen; her parents, Rito Montañez and Felipa Montañez; and her siblings, Aberlado, Ismael Montañez, Alica Romero, Elia Mendoza, Gloria Estrada, Olga Duarte and Micaela Abalos.
She is survived by: her brother Orlando Montañez, Sr. (Irene) of Midland; and her children, Raymond Rivas, Jr. (Maria) of San Antonio, Connie Nunez of Midland and Florence Rocha (Michael) of Midland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews who considered her as second mother.
