It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Paula Messina of Midway, Texas, born in Hamilton, Alabama, who passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, James Hollis and Edith Gertrude Hightower (Snow); her children, Edith, Clark and Kenneth; her husband Lurtner Messina; her sons, Thomas Messina (Carrie) and Chris Messina; and her sister Marty Corona (Lary). She was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
