He is survived by: his wife Annabelle Cates of Minden; his son Michael Cates (Jerri) of Garrison; his sisters, Paula Mansinger (David) of Henderson and Peggy Chapman (Odis) of Henderson; and his grandchildren, Dan Cooper Cates and Caitlyn Collins Cates.
