He was predeceased by : his parents, William Hubert and Emogene Nelson Hays; and his sons-in-law, Jonathan Dollar and Steve Dewayne Baldwin. He is survived by : his former life partner Lena Darlene Hass; his wife Darlene Hays of Mineola; his children, Michael Joe Hays (Janice Ann) of Alba, Lesa Dollar of Golden, Tonya Davidson (Ronny) of Llano, Lana Baldwin of Grand Saline, Lawanna Gardner (James Pace) of Sulphur and Caci Arrington (Tony) of Odessa; his sisters, Barbara Rabe of Point, Avis Bledsoe (John) of Colorado and Jeannie Mitchell of Emory; his grandchildren, Greg Coates, Amanda Casbeer, Kandice Hays, Emily Hays, Braxton Hays, Dave Davidson, Kara Bonner, Rayna Drolshagen, Dakota Hays, Dusty Baldwin, Patrick McCarty, Alexander Gardner, Colwyn Wren, Hannah Uren and Tristan Arrington; and his great grandchildren, Skye, Michael, Natalye, Joey, Kallie, Samantha, Kimberly, Khristofer, Addie, Lydia, Luke, Lonnie and Charlotte. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
The family is accepting donations and will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
