He was predeceased by : his father Joel Almaguer Sr.. He is survived by : his mother Juanita Leal Almaguer; and his siblings, Diane Almaguer, Marisela Almaguer, Priscilla Almaguer (George) and Johnny G. Almaguer (Brenda).

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Virgil Wilson Mortuary- Mission Tx (2200 N Conway Ave, Mission, TX 78572). A prayer was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
