He was predeceased by: his wife Francisca Cantu. He is survived by: his children, Orlando Cantu, Lauro L. Cantu Jr., Mario Cantu (Nidia), Hilda Hernandez (Angel), Nora Cantu and Juanita Cantu; and his siblings, Jesus Cantu, Roberto Cantu, Oscar Cantu, Raquel Cantu, Domitilo Cantu, Fermina Cantu and Odilia Cantu. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
