He is survived by: his parents, Lauro Cantu and Francisca Cantu; his children, Rudy Cantu, Anna Cantu, Karina Cantu, Yamilex Cantu, Lauro Luis Cantu III and Damaris Cantu; and his siblings, Orlando Cantu, Maribel Cantu, Nora Cantu and Juany Cantu. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
