She was predeceased by: her parents, Aniceto "Papang" Camba and Josefa "Mamang" Estrada; and her sisters, Clarita Quinajon and Milagros Tumaliuan. She is survived by: her husband Mauro J. Macalos; her children, Maureen Powers (Sean), Marilyn Mueller (Randy) and Raymond "R. J." Macalos (Anna); her siblings, Corazon Ambas, Vicky Collins, Boying Camba, Ernie Camba, Nading Camba and Lody Albano; and her grandchildren, James, Michael Powers, Kateri, Lilly, Robert Mueller, Christopher "C. J." and Joelle "Jojo" Macalos. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Should friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Remedios Macalos to the Patient Advocate Foundation, and their memorial fund for Multiple Myeloma Co-Pay Relief.
