She was predeceased by : her parents, Clayborne Bruce and Ruby Bruce (White); her former life partner Robert Allen East; her husband John Woodford Lusk; her granddaughter Azure Dawn Merker; and her siblings, Ruby Doris Bruce, Evelyn Clay, Jerry Bruce and Tommy Bruce.

She is survived by : her children, Ruby Katherine Wasson (Michael), Roberta Evelyn Arias (Mario), Arlene East Hodge (Robert), Robert Allen East and Brenda Corene Kneisley. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews.
