He is survived by : his children, Mike Pomykal (Gayla) of Mont Belvieu, Nancy Nelson (Maurice) of Iola, Jeannie Sonnier (Craig) of Georgetown and Peggy Meyers of Baytown; his grandchildren, Christopher Sonnier of Boston, MA, Steven Sonnier of Katy, Shane Portis (Michelle) of League City, Claudia Johnston (Jason) of Mont Belvieu, Mandy Wright (Joseph) of Mont Belvieu, Gayla Brooke Hicks (Brad) of Mont Belvieu, Emily DeLaCruz (Erivan) of Bryan and Paula Nelson Honkamp (Doug) of Phoenix, AZ; and his great grandchildren, Liam Portis and Jack DeLaCruz.
