It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Jean Cook of Mount Calm, Texas, born in Waco, Texas, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Elmer and Cathyrne Marie Leathers (Gauer); her daughter Barbara Jean Cook; and her brother Olin Elmer "Buddy" Leathers. She is survived by : her husband Robert Earl Cook of Mount Calm; her children, Donald Wayne Cook (Kim) of Mount Calm and Betty Jane Jennings (Donald) of Hubbard; her siblings, Bill Leathers of Mount Calm, Clara Hall (Bill) of Bryan, Jo Ann Reinke (Kenneth) of Watt and Robert Lee Leathers (Mary) of Elk; and her grandchildren, Katrina Carmean (Abraham) of Mount Calm, Barbara Kneeland of Hamilton, Tommie Cook of Mount Calm and Willis Jennings of Mount Calm. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wade Funeral Chapel (201 NW 3rd St, Hubbard, TX 76648). A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Prairie Hill Cemetery.
