He was predeceased by : his mother Rosemary; and his grandparents, Mary D. Hernandez and Gabriel Hernandez. He is survived by : his wife Lucinda Cavazos; his father Felipe; his siblings, Rosalinda Quintanilla of McAllen, Texas and Martin Rangel of Muleshoe, Texas; his nephews, Archi Quintanilla, Alex Quintanilla and Justin Quintanilla; his niece Maricruz Quintanilla; his great-nephew Gabriel Quintanilla; and his great-nieces, Allie Fuentes and Sophia Quintanilla.
