She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Leroy and Esther Magby (Askew); her husband Bobby Verldean Burris; her sons, Randy Burris and Ernest Burris; and her sisters, Vinita Parrsh and Almora Busbee.
She is survived by: her children, Orvis Burris (Sharon) of Muleshoe, Texas and Paula Torbett (Bill) of Santa Anna, Texas; and her daughter-in-law Wendy Burris of Lavernia, Texas. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ellis Funeral Home (104 E Ave F, Muleshoe, TX 79347). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Muleshoe Fellowship (710 E American Blvd, Muleshoe, TX 79347). A burial was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bailey County Cemetery (1578 Co Rd 1018, Muleshoe, TX 79347).
