He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James "Murph" and Iness Irby Stanaland; his former wife Peggy Jean Morgan; his spouse Tommie Strahan; his sister Zelda Biedrzycki (Tommie Stanaland); his children, Ronnie Stanaland (Ann), Judy Turner (Leonard), Wanda Russell (Clem) and Traci Wharton (Tom); his grandchildren, Greg Stanaland, Jody Bond, Kelly Ramsey Aziadapou, Melissa Turner, Christina Turner, Dayna Stanaland, Jennifer Horner, Thomas Wharton, Matthew Wharton and Justin Wharton; his stepchildren, Earnest Wright (Becky), Jimmy "Dusty" Jones (Linda), Carolyn Hanes (Jason) and Fran Young (Dave); his daughter Brenda; and his siblings, James Audley, P. J. Stanaland, Ida Mae Wright, Jewel Lunsford and Kathryn Chumley. He was also cherished by many nieces/nephews and great grandchildren.
