The passing of Dena J. Spurgeon (Nacogdoches, Texas), born in Cushing, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd "Sonny" Wallace and Velma Christie Wallace; her former husband Garland White; her husband Ralph Morris Spurgeon; her son Dan Morris Spurgeon; her siblings, Ruth Oxford and Jack Wallace; and her great grandchild Weston John Liebrum.
She is survived by: her son John Lane Spurgeon (Debra) of La Grange, Texas.; her sister Eugenia Boley of Nacogdoches, Texas.; her granddaughters, Jennifer Liebrum (Michael), Katie Mixon (Trey) and Priscilla Harlan (Brett); and her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Piper Liebrum, John Mixon and Dylan Harlan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Sunset Memorial Park (5127 North St, Nacogdoches, TX 75965).
