It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Russell of Nacogdoches, Texas, born in Poteet, Texas, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home (5400 North St, Nacogdoches, TX 75965).
