Helen Peery Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2025, at the age of 96, Helen Peery of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Monahan and Katherine Herklotz Monahan; her husband Douglas Wayne Peery; her daughter Debra Jean Peery; and her siblings, Edward Monahan, Mary Spinner, Julia Vallandingham, Dorothy Wilson, James Monahan, Michael Monahan and Charlotte Shelton.
She is survived by: her children, Doug (Leigh), David (late Tonia), Daniel (Jan), Dennis (Brandy), Dianne Peery Raydon (Ron) and Dean (Misty); and her siblings, Chuck Monahan (Kate), Carol Morris, Sharon Farr (Jimmy) and Marquerite Rizzo. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (2116 South St, Nacogdoches, TX 75964). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (2508 Appleby Sand Rd, Nacogdoches, TX 75965).
