She was predeceased by: her parents, John Octa Skidmore and Mada Lou Smith Skidmore; her husband James Lee McMurtray; and her sister Sharon Rose Shirley. She is survived by: her significant other Marine; her children, Elizabeth Darlene Watson (Allen) of Nacogdoches and John McMurtray (Vickie) of Nacogdoches; her sister Sandra Jerris Holloway of Pasadena; and her grandchildren, Patrick McMurtray (Alisa) of Nacogdoches, Kevin Watson of Nacogdoches and Jessica Watson Montes of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
