We bid farewell to Don L. Slaton (Navasota, Texas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 11, 2025 at the age of 87. Don touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Don may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mignon Slaton; his parents, TJ Slaton and Virginia Slaton; and his brothers, Ted Slaton and Errol Slaton.
He is survived by: his brother Glen Slaton (Linda); his children, Todd Slaton and Vida Shumaker (Leroy); and his grandchildren, Ashlyn Patton, Waylon James and Cord Lewis Patton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Flowers would be appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to Shiro Presbyterian Church or Old Oakland Cemetery in Roans Prairie, Texas.
