He is survived by : his father Earl H. Underwood, Sr. of Clinton, NC; his children, Selena Newkirk Corbett of Ivanhoe, NC, Kaleshia Underwood of Houston, TX, Kimberly Underwood of Somerville, TX, Ce'Arial McCoy of College Station, TX, Derrick Underwood of Somerville, TX, Damien Underwood of Somerville, TX, Jermaine Underwood of Somerville, TX, Prentiss, Phillips of Channelview, TX and Corey Underwood of Bryan, TX; and his siblings, Felicia Underwood of Greensboro, NC and Alexis Underwood of Summerfield, NC. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church (537 McKoy St, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (3620 Roseboro Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328).
