He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hughes and Phyllis Downes Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Tracy McCready; his children, Cody Hughes (Brittany), Ashleigh Challgren (Kirk) and Brittney Moreland (Brian); and his siblings, Jonathan Hughes (Laura) and Elizabeth Hughes. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nobles Funeral Chapel (402 Blackshear St, Navasota, TX 77868).
