Genevieve May Van Oostrom Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 13, 2025, at the age of 97, Genevieve May Van Oostrom of Nederland, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Arthur Montroy and Mary Louise Miller; her husband Albert William Van Oostrom; her daughter Mary Kay Van Oostrom; and her sisters, Josephine Bertrand and Norma Selman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Van Oostrom (Bill Reed) of Alpharetta, Georgia and Shirley McGuire (Harold) of Nederland; her grandchildren, Kurt Van Oostrom (Patty) of Vidor, Lauren Fabela (Landon) of Tulsa, Matthew Garver (Mary) of Alpharetta, Georgia and Dru Lewis (James) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and her great grandchildren, Margaret Fabela, Grandville Fabela, Luke Garver, Emily Garver, Genevieve Lewis and Shepherd Lewis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (211 Hardy Ave, Nederland, TX 77627). The inurnment will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at the Oak Bluff Memorial Park (618 Block St, Port Neches, TX 77651).
