Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 19th 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Broussard's Mortuary (Nederland) (505 North 12th Street, Nederland, Texas 77627). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 19th 2012 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 20th 2012 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, Texas 77627).
Dr. Jackie Wayne Faubion, 71, of Nederland, died Sunday, September 16, 2012, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born on April 11, 1941, in Lampasas County, Texas, to Celia and Milton Oscar Faubion. Dr. Faubion attended high school in Evant, Texas, graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 1976, and was a high school teacher and veterinarian for many years in Nederland.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Mary Elizabeth Horn; son, Hunter Faubion and his wife, Miranda; grandchildren, Addison Jean, John Regan, and Jackie David, all of Nederland; brothers, Charles Faubion and his wife, Betty, of Waco; and Bill Faubion and his wife, Jo Ann of Alexandria, Louisiana; and sisters, Nora Patterson of Plano and Gracie Sawyer and her husband, Harold, of Oklahoma.
A gathering of Dr. Faubion's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. A private family committal will be held at a later date at Chapel Cemetery near Adamsville, Texas.
The family would like to thank Dr. Huber and the doctors and nurses of Harbor Hospice.
