She was predeceased by : her parents, Manuel Burton Merritt and Jean Merck Hall; her husband Frederic Valden "William" Harrelson; her brothers, Jeffrey Herbert "Chuck" McCaleb and Garry Edward Merritt; and her brother-in-law Ronald Duane "Ron" Fielden.

She is survived by : her children, Dirk Harrelson (Laura) of Lake Charles, LA, Malae Johse (David) of Angleton, TX and Dehbrenda Preuss (Craig) of The Woodlands, TX; and her sisters, Susan Merritt Fielden of Canyon Lake, TX and Myra Jean Hidalgo (Larry) of Ennis, TX..
