He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis B. Patterson and Opal Marie Patterson; his grandparents, Jay Joseph Patterson, Mae Isabel Draper Patterson, Elmer Marion Wilson and Purnie "Pampy" Wilson; his brother Waylon Patterson; his great grandchildren, Nathan Garrett Dennis and Parker Fenton; his parents-in-law, Trevor and Mildred Forrester; his brothers-in-law, Gilbert Garrett and Kevin Forrester; and his nephew Lee Forrester.
He is survived by: his significant other Glenda Forrester Patterson; his children, Sherri McRae (Neil), Becky Funderburg (Terry), Jackie Hallmark (Larry Don), Todd Patterson (Andrea), Rip England (Nikki) and Rachel Strain (Joe Hart); his sisters, Patty Howell (Paul) and Reba Garret; his sister-in-law Jane Forrester; and also Jimmy Howell. He is also survived by his children, twenty-four grandchildren, and thirty-eight great-grandchildren.
